Great Growing Adventure - Day 12

by limpit on Mar.21, 2009, under Gardening

Just a quick update to the GGA before we go shopping at ASDA for the first time.

I think a few plants ate ready to move into their own little pots, but we only have 6 pots at the moment so we need to get some more!

Photo time!

Monkeys!

by limpit on Mar.16, 2009, under Days Out

So yesterday me and Gem were cleaning the car when a text message came in from Mum asking if we wanted to meet them at the monkey park at Trentham and go for lunch with them afterwards.

Seeing as it was going to be more fun than cleaning the car, we put the Hoover away and and headed to meet them.

The monkeys were very cute, especially the two baby monkeys who spent most of the day play fighting, including one doing a very cool backflip out of a tree at one point!

I can’t believe we have lived down the road from Trentham and Monkey Forest for over 18 months and that was the first time we have been!

I’ll have to update the Great Growing Adventure some other time as I haven’t taken any updated photos yet, and I’m playing football tonight for the first time in a few years, so I’ll probably be too tired to do anything later.

Public House and GGA - Day 4

by limpit on Mar.13, 2009, under Randomness

So I’ve just got back from the pub, where I took part in drinking 1/2 a pint of flat Carling, 2 pints of Stella, 1 can of Fosters and 2 single JD’s and coke (full fat coke, should have asked for diet but nevermind) with Matt T and Tom C.

Was quite a good night, with most of it spent talking about general b*****ks like normal, although a fantastic film idea came out during the night which I’m not going to write about until I can draft a script and send it to a famous movie company! Lets just say that it’s a cross between Final Destination and Michael from Lost…

It’s Comic Relief tonight, and Gembee is busy watching the live TV show at the moment, but it is something that never really appealed to me. I mean, the comedy bits are fantastic but if I wanted to be taken on an emotional roller coaster I’d prefer it was done on my Friday night!

As for the Great Growing Adventure, Edgar has noticed that his tomato plants have grown even more and he is slightly worried that they’ll soon be bigger than he is. Also, the chilli plants and the random salad seemed to have sprouted, but for now here is a picture of the chilli and tomato plants. I’m off to watch Red Nose Day with Gembee and to finish my beer drinking!

The Great Growing Adventure - Day 3

by limpit on Mar.12, 2009, under Gardening

Ok, so I missed the first two days, but if your been following me on twitter (twitter.com/limpit) you’ll know that 2 days ago me and Gem started our little garden by planting the various seeds and things we bought at the weekend.

We’re hoping that at some point this year we’ll be able to have a nice salad which we have pretty much grown on our own, but I guess time will tell!

All of our crops are currently on the window sil in the spare room in some little propagator things we got from Wilko’s at the weekend, and Edgar seems to have taken an interest in them as he doesn’t quite know what we’re doing.

For those who don’t know, Edgar is mine and Gembee’s baby duck, and he gets himself into all sorts of mischief!

Oh, and I laid down the gauntlet to my sister to see if she can grow things better than we can, so Jasmine, let the games begin!
